Cookies on this site
This page explains what may be stored in your browser when you visit jc-church.org, and who puts it there.
Cookies set by this site
jc-church.org does not set advertising or profiling cookies of its own. Nothing is placed in your browser here for the purpose of building a profile of you or selling space to advertisers.
The site runs on WordPress. WordPress may set a cookie if you leave a comment or sign in. In the case of a comment, the cookie remembers the name, email address and website you typed, so that you do not have to type them again the next time you write. In the case of signing in, it keeps you signed in while you move between pages. If you never comment and never sign in, these cookies have no reason to appear.
Third parties
Google Fonts serves the typefaces this site uses. Your IP address reaches Google when a font loads. This happens as part of fetching the font file itself, which your browser requests from Google’s servers while the page is being drawn.
The hosting provider may add its own analytics or performance script to pages it serves. Such a script is inserted by the company that serves this site to you, not by the pages written here.
Your browser
Your browser settings control cookies; blocking them does not stop you reading this site. Every current browser lets you refuse cookies altogether, refuse them only from third parties, delete the ones already stored, or be asked each time. The menus differ from browser to browser — look for a section named Privacy, Security, or Site settings.
If you block cookies and then try to leave a comment, you may have to retype your name and email address each time, because the cookie that would have remembered them is the one you blocked. Reading, browsing, following links and using the search box are unaffected.
Browser extensions that block scripts or remote fonts will also affect what reaches you from Google Fonts and from the hosting provider. The text and structure of the pages remain readable; the typefaces may fall back to those installed on your own device.
